The J611Y globe valve uses a rising disc moving vertically. Tight contact between disc and seat provides isolation and throttling. Although flow resistance is somewhat higher than in a gate valve, regulating performance is excellent. The valve offers stable sealing and a broad pressure/temperature operating range for water, steam, oil and other media, with manual, electric or pneumatic actuation available for different service conditions.
